San Diego Rental Places

San Diego Outdoor ActivitiesThe weather is so ideal in San Diego; you may never come in from all of the outdoor activities you can enjoy here. To start, there are more than 70 miles of coastline, so hitting a beach or two is almost mandatory. You can sit and soak up the fresh air off the Pacific Ocean, or you can head right into the waves. If you are a surfer, you probably already know what to look for. For newbie's, most of the shoreline has long beach breaks and a primarily southwest exposure. Point Loma and La Jolla are rocky, with reef breaks that work on swells from all different directions. There is also some good surfing between Del Mar and Encinitas, and man-made jetties at the Mission Bay and Oceanside harbors. Your best bet is to hit a local surf shop and ask some locals where the best spots are. Cyclists will revel in the amount of trails and just sheer open space along the coast on which to ride. Public parks, local riding trails and loads of wide open space along the ocean is always available. You can also try the Corral Canyon, where you can discover the amazing wilderness of East County. San Diego Water Sports, Fishing Tours & BoatingThe Daley Ranch is great for riders of all levels, making it an ideal family riding destination. Located in Escondido and just northeast of San Diego, the Daley Ranch offers up 20 miles of trails to meander through with or without the family. San Diego is known for some action sports legends, such as Tony Hawk and Olympic Gold medalist Shaun White. With that being said, skateboarding and in-line skating are both huge here. Try one of San Diego's many skate parks, but make sure to wear your helmet. If you are feeling really adventurous, take your board out to the nearest area of interest and just hop on. Street skaters are known to take advantage of whatever nature or man hands them. You won't always be welcome, but it will be a thrill. Free skating is often used in San Diego as a mode of transportation too. Your outdoor activities can take a more traditional shape here also, with sail boating, fishing and hiking all popular and plentiful. Plus, there is always tennis and golf. |
