Besides its engaging beauty, San Diego is loaded with activities to suit just about everyone's tastes. Do your research before you go, and plan a loose itinerary to keep yourself at least slightly organized. And if you still haven't had your fill of museums, check out the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego. It is located in the La Jolla building, which is oceanfront, providing a dramatic and beautiful backdrop for your art appreciation session. The military plays an important part in the make up of San Diego and San Diego County, and you can observe some incredible artifacts at the San Diego Aircraft carrier Museum. Here you will be able to get a first hand look at a real battle ship - the USS Midway. Fine music can be heard at a San Diego Symphony concert at Symphony Towers. Enjoy one of the top ten opera companies in the United States when you attend a presentation by the San Diego Opera. The Old Globe Theatre is world renown, often presenting world premiers. There is also the Kroc Center's Performing Arts Center (Ray Kroc, founder of McDonald's).

Need some animal excitement? Check out SeaWorld, where the animals outshine there trainers. The San Diego Zoo and san Diego Wild Animal Park are a must see if you have kids or are still one yourself. Or just like animals. Archticts and lovers of inanimate objects and building blocks need to visit Legoland. Just plain fun, it is. This metropolitan vacation destination also boasts several pro sports teams. From baseball to football to soccer, there's someone to cheer for (or against) in San Diego. One last thing - make it a point to visit Coronado Island. It is only a two mile drive over the Coronado Bridge, where you will discover a charming small community and lots of good boutique shopping and small restaurants serving up delicious dishes. The Hotel Del Coronado is exquisite. Wander through and take in all the history of this lovely hotel. The candy shop is pretty good too!
